Using GPT-6 Astra, two people designed a Codex voice device (enclosure, PCB, firmware) in under a week, and a contract manufacturer built prototypes in under a month. Astra missed production limits and tolerances. A newer internal model scored 0.875 on BenchCAD 2.0 against 0.594 for Astra. Hardware-team token usage grew 23-fold since February. Collaborations with Chip Ganassi Racing and Mazda are described.
