Claude Code added a `claude --desktop` command that opens the Desktop app on the current directory or a resumed/continued session, plus `claude plugin configure` to view a plugin's options. Bundled .mcpb MCP servers can now have their settings set at `plugin install --config` time so they start immediately without a manual Configure step. The post also notes CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_WEB_FETCH to disable WebFetch and an allowedProviders setting to restrict which API providers a managed machine can use.
