bsab/sweden-mcp-servers
A community-maintained catalog of Model Context Protocol servers connecting AI assistants to Swedish data, laws and services (e.g. Fortnox, Bokio, BolagsAPI, ICA), forked/adapted from the France and Italia MCP Servers projects. Each entry is checked against canonical documentation, tracks license/credential requirements, and includes a runtime smoke-test report (protocol/tool call attempts, credential blockers, failures) plus a six-criterion documentation-readiness rubric, published as a static JSON/HTML site.
What it claims
This is a catalog of MCP servers touching Swedish data/services, not a server implementation — it lists existing public projects with a specific Sweden connection, excluding generic API integrations. The distinction the summary blurs: it verifies documentation and records runtime attempts, but explicitly does not certify that any listed server runs against its provider. last_verified is a consultation date, not proof of a working integration.
Evidence
The 2026-09-14 runtime snapshot covers the 18 entries present at that time (later additions were reviewed from source/docs only, no runtime tests). Outcomes:
- 9 live-data passes
- 5 credential blockers
- 1 network/TLS blocker
- 2 tool failures
- 1 protocol failure
A "pass" covers only the sampled read-only operation and configuration. Runtime attempts deliberately stop before authentication or private-account access, so a pass proves protocol discovery/local ping, not end-to-end provider integration.
The Ready score /100 uses rubric v1 with fixed weights: installation 30, configuration 20, tools 20, compatibility 15, license 10, limitations 5. Note: no Ready scores are currently assigned — metadata/source verification is treated as separate from a full six-criterion assessment. A high score can coexist with a failed runtime attempt. The scheduled protocol checker sends only initialize.
Access cautions (per-entry, from the page)
- Fortnox can create/bookkeep invoices (write-capable).
- Bokio is read-only by default but can enable writes.
- ICA MCP uses an unofficial private API, requires login, can modify personal shopping lists, and may conflict with ICA's service terms.
- BolagsAPI pricing/quotas and the Fortnox/Bokio account/API costs are unverified.
How to use it
Adapted from France MCP Servers (itself from Italia MCP Servers); MIT license, Copyright (c) 2026 Sab Severino. To build/serve locally (Python 3.12+ in a venv):
python -m pip install -r scripts/requirements.txt
python scripts/validate_servers.py
python -m unittest discover -s scripts -p 'test_*.py'
python scripts/build_readme.py
python scripts/build_catalog.py
python -m http.server 8000 --directory siteThe browser fetches catalog.json, so opening the HTML via file:// fails — you must serve it. site/ is generated and gitignored. Only README blocks between BEGIN/END markers are generated; narrative sections are maintained by hand.
Limits
- Catalog code and original descriptions are MIT; each listed server and its upstream datasets keep their own terms.
license: nullmeans no code license was verified — public source alone does not grant reuse rights. - Star counts and tool lists are dated snapshots; documented tool names may be a selection, not the full runtime inventory.
- This is an independent community project, not an official Swedish government catalog; inclusion is not endorsement.
