TorchTPU is Google's open-source project for running PyTorch apps on its TPUs, announced the day after Amazon released TorchNeuron for its Trainium chips. Google says migration needs "a simple configuration change" with no rewrite. It worked with Meta, Hugging Face, and the vLLM and SGLang teams on compatibility, and added an agent suite that helps migrate apps and fix errors. The post is brief and gives no benchmarks.
