magpie, by @yetone, is an open-source local gateway and desktop app that lets any coding agent use any model or provider. It translates between the OpenAI Chat, OpenAI Responses, Anthropic Messages and Gemini APIs. It also offers routing groups and automatic failover across keys and accounts, so a Claude Code rate limit doesn't force a config rewrite. It works with Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Goose, Cursor CLI and Copilot CLI, and backs up its config to a file, WebDAV or S3.
