web-edit 0.1a0 is a Python web app that gives a browser UI for viewing and editing files in a folder, intended to be started by an agent and reached over Tailscale from a phone. Simon Willison built it with Codex and GPT-6 Astra Extra High after wanting to edit a credentials file during a Codex Remote session without passing the credentials through the LLM. Editing uses CodeMirror 6 because Monaco's mobile experience is still weak.
