The Official Ruby SDK for MCP Reaches Tier 1

The official Ruby SDK for the Model Context Protocol (the mcp gem) became the sixth Tier 1 MCP SDK in September 2026, after TypeScript, Python, C#, Go and Rust. Version 1.2.0 supports the 2026-07-28 spec revision, including the stateless lifecycle, multi round-trip requests and cache hints. The SDK passes 67/67 server and 50/50 client conformance runs, and the post gives install and upgrade steps.
