CyberForge Weekly CVE Rundown #007 covers six CVEs from 19 to 24 October 2026: SiteGuard command injection (CVE-2026-106931), DB-GPT (CVE-2026-77932), Siemens Software Center DLL side-loading (CVE-2026-110936), Cisco Expressway (CVE-2026-76466), Node.js Brotli (CVE-2026-111497) and Arista VeloCloud (CVE-2026-114625). Each entry gives defender actions, fixed versions, exploitation status and primary-source links. Updated 25 October 2026 with CISA KEV and EPSS findings.
What it is
CyberForge Weekly CVE Rundown #007 (posted by @lee1981b on X) covers six CVEs from 19 to 24 October 2026, with a recap updated 25 October 2026. The page gives a fix boundary, a trust-label pitfall and an exploitation status for each. It names the primary advisory for each entry but truncates the URLs.
Affected and what to do
CVE-2026-106931, SiteGuard Server Edition. With statistics enabled, a command injection allows root or SYSTEM commands. The published score models local access and low privileges, and the trigger is undisclosed. Exploitation is confirmed. CISA added it to KEV on 20 October 2026 with a due date of 23 October 2026 and forensic triage marked Yes. Preserve diagnostics before repairing, because repairs can erase attack traces. Then use the platform-specific fix or matched patch, keeping the FreeBSD and IIS exceptions in the vendor matrix.
CVE-2026-77932, DB-GPT. Through 0.8.2, unauthenticated ReAct mock-admin access reaches unsandboxed Python and shell tools. Root execution was reported only inside the research container, and host escape is unproven. No fixed release was verified in the 25 October checks. Restrict untrusted backend access, and require real authentication and tool isolation. CISA now records a proof-of-concept assessment, which does not establish malicious field use.
CVE-2026-110936, Siemens Software Center. A genuine signed executable loads attacker-supplied DLLs placed beside it (DLL side-loading). The published flaw models a local, high-privilege attacker, and execution inherits application privileges. Siemens confirms exploitation and describes an associated ClickFix campaign. Verify approved copies are at V4.0.9.8 or later. Investigate unexpected copies without launching them, tracing installer, executable, DLL, startup or task, and network evidence.
CVE-2026-76466, Cisco Expressway. On clustered Expressway-C/E, cookie possession plus network access to the database service can enable root commands. "TLS Verify Mode Enabled" does not establish client-certificate validation, so verify every peer. Cisco's fix row maps X15.5.3 and earlier to X15.5.20. X14 and earlier must migrate. Cisco reports no known malicious use.
CVE-2026-111497, Node.js Brotli. Untrusted input must reach the affected decoder, and possible code execution runs with process authority. Backports can still report a Brotli 1.2.0 label, so check the running Node version instead. Fixed versions are 22.23.4, 24.22.1 and 26.12.1 for their respective lines. Migrate EOL lines. Node rates it High, Google's CNA v4.0 score is 9.2 Critical, and field exploitation is unverified.
CVE-2026-114625, Arista VeloCloud Orchestrator. On-premises VCO needs portal reach and a valid session. The Enterprise Read Only role is enough to impersonate an operator. Exploitation is confirmed, and Arista's KEV entry lists 26 October 2026 with triage Yes. Deploy 5.2.3.18, 6.1.3.10 or 6.4.2.12 in the matching train. EOL releases are unassessed. Hosted and Dedicated deployments are already patched per Arista. Preserve web and backend evidence, and follow the session into privileged operations.
The page puts Arista at CVSS v3.1 9.9 (v4.0 9.4), the highest comparable v3.1 CNA score of the six.
Caveats
- EPSS rows dated 24 October 2026 are prediction scores, not compromise findings.
- Restrictions on Arista access reduce opportunity while patching but do not fix the flaw.
- A fixed version does not erase earlier unauthorised activity.
- The page presents the six as separate issues and says they share no actor or campaign.
- The page is marked "Made with AI". Check each fix version against the vendor advisory before acting.
