Uniform Sharing in Multiple Stages: Towards Second-Order Security
Presents an automated masking technique, extending the MultiStage approach, that gives second-order security in the glitch-extended probing model for arbitrary functions. It keeps fresh-mask requirements minimal as in NullFresh and avoids structural limits of earlier schemes. Applied to PRINCE, Midori and SKINNY, with formal verification in SILVER and PROLEAD and TVLA leakage testing on FPGA.
TL;DR Automated second-order, low-randomness hardware masking (MultiStage extension) verified on PRINCE, Midori and SKINNY with SILVER, PROLEAD and FPGA TVLA.
