Post summarizing independent researcher Sammy Azdoufal's report on EnergizeLab's Eilik companion robots, which are marketed mostly to kids. Per the report, any registered user could read other families' chat transcripts through the vendor back office. An unauthenticated endpoint also lets anyone swap the robot's AI model, voice and personality (CVE-2026-105038, CVSS 9.8, PoC listed by the CNA). At the Oct 13 retest, 32 of 40 remotely testable findings were still open. The post notes that The Verge demonstrated the issue on its reporter's own toy, that vendor remediation is unverified, and that broader malicious compromise is unproven.
TL;DR Eilik AI companion robot: exposed family chat transcripts and an unauthenticated model-admin endpoint (CVE-2026-105038, CVSS 9.8); 32 of 40 findings still open.
