Benchmarking color judgment in multimodal LLMs with CIE-computable ground truthA five-task benchmark tests multimodal LLM color judgment against CIE colorimetric ground truth: AWB pair judgment, skin-tone bias direction, CCT estimation, Delta E 2000 pair ordering, and color naming under changing illuminants. Eight endpoints were tested. On ColorChecker-24 stimuli, closed frontier models reach CCT MAE of 715-1056 K versus 1358-2133 K for open-weight models, and a non-ColorChecker control shows this gap is partly template-dependent.

It compares base and post-trained checkpoints of six model families on fact-checked claims with randomised poster profiles. Only the open Tรผlu-3 recipe (OLMo-2 32B, Tรผlu-3 70B) creates the effect, under one percentage point but reliable. In OLMo-2 32B the flip comes from one residual-stream direction and appears at supervised fine-tuning, confirmed on 400 new claims. None of seven commercial models doubts lower-status posters more.

Starting at the lowest effort and escalating only after a verified failure matches or beats fixed top effort, usually at lower cost for proprietary models.

Changing only the system prompt moves InjecAgent attack success rate from 0.2% to 43%, and the ATOM matrix shows 21.7% of AgentDojo episodes were safe but left the user's task undone. The corpus, judge prompt and code are released.

Stealthy Poisoning Attacks via Reused KV Cache of ReasoningR^2ECAP (Reused Reasoning-Cache Poisoning) is a black-box attack that plants poisoned reasoning traces through a chat interface, exploiting LLM systems that reuse KV caches of reasoning. A preceding trace steers the model, and the retained trace keeps residual adversarial influence in its cache after the preceding trace is discarded. On three open-weight LLMs and three datasets it reaches up to 79% ASR, beats the white-box HijackKV in 8 of 9 settings, and reaches 46% ASR in a reasoning-trace retrieval system. Only 1% of retained responses are flagged by a popular prompt injection detector.

Can SOLARBURST go silicon? A systematic analysis on software supply chain attacks for VLSI design flowsThis paper analyses software supply chain (SWSC) attacks against VLSI design tools. It empirically studies the software composition, security features and tool interactions of VLSI suites, then builds a taxonomy linking SWSC attacks to VLSI attacks, design-flow stages and security outcomes. The taxonomy yields 717 possible new attacks, 60 of them high feasibility, with a threat model, a defense assessment and case studies on an open-source VLSI flow.

From Perception to Prediction and Intervention: Benchmarking Proactive Video Assistants in Real-Life ScenariosIntroduces P^3IBench, a benchmark for proactive video understanding in real-life streaming scenarios, covering three capabilities: daily perception, risk prediction and intervention. It evaluates 12 open-source and proprietary video-language models (streaming and adapted non-streaming) and finds they struggle to make well-calibrated decisions about when to respond. The authors also build extra proactive training data and train P^3I-Assistant-4B, which improves several tasks unevenly, showing that proactive assistance needs response timing and restraint as well as visual understanding.

Robust ECDSA Threshold Signing at ScalePresents a robust threshold ECDSA signing protocol for t โค (n-1)/3 corrupted signers. It batch-computes pre-processing material for fast online signing and scales to many signers, for uses such as bridging consensus between blockchains. It combines batched verifiable secret sharing (Fitzi & Hirt), randomness extraction (Beerliova-Trubiniova & Hirt), efficient share opening (Damgรฅrd & Nielsen) and AttemaโCramer zero-knowledge proofs. The authors implement it and show it is practical for large n.

Threshold Post-Quantum E-Voting from Lattice CommitmentsT-EVOLVE extends the lattice-commitment e-voting protocol EVOLVE to threshold tallying. Votes are Shamir-shared, so any t of n authorities can finish the tally. Privacy holds against t-1 colluding authorities and verifiability holds even if all of them collude. The voter proves her committed shares form a Reed-Solomon codeword whose value at zero is a valid vote. Complaints about ciphertexts that do not decrypt are publicly verifiable, using an LWE-instantiable encryption scheme with publicly verifiable opening. Privacy, verifiability, individual verifiability and robustness are proven in the classical random oracle model, and the verifiability reduction is not tight. In a C implementation, a yes/no ballot for four authorities takes 109 KB, and an authority aggregates 10^4 ballots in about three minutes on one core.

Recursive Reward Improvement via Adversarial Meta-Prompt EvolutionIntroduces Recursive Reward Improvement (RRI) for recursive self-improvement on open-ended expert tasks without answer keys, where a proposer writes both a task and a rubric. Before the solver trains, an adversary writes a rubric-gaming but useless answer, the same model writes an honest answer without seeing the rubric, and up to two repair steps revise the rubric until the honest answer wins. Exploits found also rewrite future task and rubric generation. On HealthBench Professional it beats a Generation Only baseline by 10.9 points at 9B and 12.4 at 27B (10.3 with no external model), and the 27B model transfers to PRBench Hard (+6.6) and ProfBench (+8.0).

Harness^2: Recursive Agent Harnessing for an Open WorldHarness^2 is a plug-and-play framework that recursively improves LLM agent execution harnesses in open-world settings where no ground-truth verifiers exist. Task-level recursion uses a contrastive Propose-Probe-Compose step to guide harness edits for the current task, and it scales through parallel or sequential recursion. Harnessing-level recursion distills experience from those edits into a continual-improvement harness for future tasks. A single step improves GLM-5 and Gemini 3.5 Flash over their base harnesses by up to 11.5 points on WorkBuddy-Bench, 4.5 on JobBench and 11.8 percentage points on LAB.

Foundations of Hardware-Software Leakage ContractsSurvey-style paper introducing hardware-software leakage contracts, an ISA-level security abstraction that characterizes microarchitectural side-channel leakage (caches, speculative execution). It lets programmers and compilers produce code provably resistant to side-channel attacks like Spectre and Meltdown without reasoning about the microarchitecture, and gives hardware designers a specification to avoid undocumented side channels. It reviews recent contributions and open challenges.

OmniCompass: A Holistic Benchmark for Omni-Modal Video Grounding and UnderstandingOmniCompass is a manually annotated benchmark for video grounding and understanding with two tracks: OmniCompass-VL (820 videos, 2,460 instances; vision-language models) and OmniCompass-AV (240 videos, 720 instances; joint audio-visual evidence for omni-modal models). Each track covers temporal grounding, spatial grounding and QA across short/medium/long videos, and each instance is run in paired text-only and text+image target specifications. Evaluating 50 MLLMs shows open-source models lag proprietary ones, especially on audio-visual understanding, that precise temporal/spatial grounding remains hard, and that predictions are inconsistent across the paired specifications.

EmoGenie: Benchmarking and Evaluating Expressed and Evoked Emotion in T2I Generation with MLLMsEmoGenie is a benchmark for emotions expressed and evoked by text-to-image outputs. It has 6,400 images from eight T2I models using 800 emotion-targeted prompts. It includes EmoGenie-QA (90,000 closed-set and 1,057 open-ended questions) and EmoGenie-Assess (13,175 mean opinion scores for valence, arousal, dominance and aesthetic quality). The authors also propose EmoProbe, which pairs emotion QA with response-aligned, dimension-specific regression heads. They report that it beats baselines on emotion QA and correlates better with human ratings. The work shows how reliably MLLMs interpret affect in generated images.

Seeing Through the Forgery Is Not Enough: Regressive Sycophancy under Fabricated Evidence in Medical Vision-Language ModelsThe paper studies regressive sycophancy under fabricated evidence: a medical VLM gives a correct answer, then abandons it when the user pushes back with a fake prescription. It tests four open VLMs on 400 VQA-RAD yes/no questions in 19,200 multi-turn conversations. Without a synthetic-document disclosure, models abandon 80.1% of 6,488 correct answers, and the same prescription raises Qwen2.5-VL-7B's flip rate from 45.9% to 89.6% while lowering Qwen3-VL-8B's from 77.7% to 50.9%. Models often reject the prescription yet keep the correct answer in only some conversations (915 of 3,232), and 40% of those flip later. System-prompt disclosure of synthetic documents cuts one model's flip rate from 77.8% to 47.3%. The authors conclude that recognising a forgery does not stop a model from adopting the forged answer.
