Secure Courier is a consent flow in Tollbooth DPYC, a monetization network for paid MCP services, that lets an AI agent act for a Nostr npub without holding the user's nsec. The service sends a signed, sealed direct message over Nostr relays, the user replies with a signed approval and an expiry, and the service issues its own encrypted grant. Lonnie VanZandt presents it as an alternative to central identity providers and CIBA. The thread gives no audit results.

Anthropic takes steps to block Claude from reverse-engineering video games

Mashable reports, citing Tom's Hardware, that Anthropic's Claude has quietly begun restricting modding, decompiling and reverse-engineering of video game code. Anthropic has made no official announcement. The article ties the change to AI-assisted game ports and mods, the PlayStation 5 jailbreak and Take-Two's subpoenas after the GTA6 leaks. It notes the irony of AI firms now guarding copyright, and the risk that less restrictive LLMs win users.

Your Benchmark Is an Empirical Measure Over Difficulty

The paper treats a benchmark as an empirical measure over item difficulty and formalizes two failure modes: measure mismatch (benchmark difficulty distribution differs from the intended one) and coverage gaps (uncovered difficulty regions that hide localized training progress). It proposes two diagnostic metrics with theoretical guarantees and analyzes 25 popular benchmarks across 7 domains using estimated item difficulties. It also introduces BenchFill, a difficulty-targeted item rewriting algorithm that reduces local coverage gaps.

These are Justin Drake's "bunker mode" ECDSA warning, Anthropic's Claude tracing NIST curve seeds to lrand48, OpenAI's agent spending Sepolia ETH from a default-mnemonic account, and Wiz's "AI uncovers" PHP RCE claim of 70% reach. It ends with four questions for checking claims.

Show HN: I Turned DOOM into a Transformer

Doomformer compiles integer neural networks into ZDoom maps that run in ViZDoom. Voodoo dolls do the arithmetic, and sector light levels and plane heights hold the values. Python reads every value back and compares it with a NumPy integer reference at tolerance 0. It runs MNIST (97.16 % on all 10,000 digits, every pass exact), small transformers, a learning perceptron and a SUBLEQ machine. It is about 23,000 times slower than NumPy on a small MLP.

API credits benefit for eligible ChatGPT subscriptions

Simon Willison's 29 October 2026 link post says OpenAI now gives ChatGPT subscribers on $100, $200 and $500 plans an equal amount of monthly API credits for one API organization. It matches the benefit Anthropic announced earlier in October 2026 for Max and Team plans, where the credits expire. Willison holds both subscriptions and says he may ship public demos funded by the credits.

SAIL Framework: A Practical Guide for AI Security

The SAIL Framework from Pillar Security is a seven-phase, lifecycle-oriented method for securing AI systems. The phases are AI policy and safe experimentation, AI asset discovery, AI security posture management, AI red teaming, runtime guardrails, sandboxed execution for agents and MCP servers, and AI activity tracing. It argues for a "Shift Up" approach that protects the business logic AI controls, and it is meant to sit on top of existing standards.

Android security checklist: theft of arbitrary files | Oversecured Blog

Oversecured's Android security checklist on arbitrary file theft from an app's private storage. It covers implicit intents (PICK, GET_CONTENT) returning file:// or content:// URIs, SEND/SEND_MULTIPLE share activities, exported and non-exported FileProviders, path traversal via Uri.getLastPathSegment, WebView, and local NanoHTTPD servers. Each case has vulnerable code, an attacker PoC and fixes such as /proc/self/fd path checks and narrow files-path entries.

Discovering vendor-specific vulnerabilities in Android | Oversecured Blog

Oversecured describes extending its Android scanner to system APIs and to Samsung's Android build, after comparing Google and Samsung framework JARs and about 400 system services. It explains AIDL service permission checks and new control-flow analyses. Examples include Samsung's unchecked semIsBackupEnabled(), a broadcast that reboots the device, and a LaunchAnyWhere in Settings. Samsung had fixed over 60 reported issues.

Introducing MavenGate: a supply chain attack method for Java and Android applications | Oversecured Blog

MavenGate is Oversecured's research on hijacking Maven dependencies by buying expired domains behind groupIds on Maven Central and JitPack. It found 6,170 of 33,938 checked domains (18.18%) vulnerable, and tested the attack with its own com.oversecured:hello-world library. It lists defenses (Gradle verification-metadata.xml, PGP signatures) and proposes changes to repository signing.

Disclosure of 7 Android and Google Pixel vulnerabilities

Oversecured discloses seven Android vulnerabilities, two of them Pixel-specific, all reported to Google and fixed except one low-severity WebView case. They are the Camera geolocation leak (CVE-2024-0017), a VPN bypass list change (CVE-2023-21383), a Bluetooth permission check flaw (CVE-2024-34719), the WorkSource parcel mismatch (CVE-2023-20963, exploited in the wild by the Pinduoduo app), Device Admin HTML injection (CVE-2021-0600) and a ContentProvider.openFile() caller-context bypass (CVE-2023-21292). Each has root cause and PoC code.

Android deep link vulnerabilities: how intent filters lead to account takeover | Oversecured Blog

Oversecured's article on Android deep-link vulnerabilities covers five patterns: custom scheme hijacking, open redirect into WebView, limited and full intent redirection, and domain takeover via an expired whitelist entry. It shows bypass payloads, intent selector abuse, and the HierarchicalUri reflection bypass. It also compares what SAST and DAST can find and gives a checklist for pentesters.

PCI DSS and Mobile Apps: A Simple Guide | Oversecured Blog

Guide to PCI DSS v4.0.1 scope for mobile apps, with a mapping of common Android and iOS finding types to the requirements they break (Req 2, 3, 4, 6, 7). It covers which app behaviors bring an app into scope and gives three anonymized cases: cleartext HTTP in a vendor native library, hardcoded keys in a third-party SDK, and an implicit Intent leaking data. It argues for testing the shipped binary and keeping a current component inventory.

The scan grades whether agents can find a site (robots.txt, DNS), read clean Markdown, pass bot rules, and discover an MCP server or API catalog. One quoted example raised a score from 20 to 67 by shipping an API catalog with Link headers, an MCP server card, a skills index and an AI catalog file.

Polymarket Pauses Trading as Prediction Market Investigates Security Incident

Polymarket put its exchange in cancel-only mode and paused relayer actions on 29 October 2026 after users reported funds withdrawn without permission. Hudson Rock says a DebugBear-hosted script holds wallet-draining code that sells a logged-in user's positions and hard-codes the suspected attacker's wallet (about $2.65 million in POL, per Arkham) as fallback recipient. Polymarket blames a compromised third-party provider and promises to make users whole. Root cause and victim count are unconfirmed.

world2vec: Mechanistic world models through latent dynamics learning

world2vec is a method for learning mechanistic world models from observations and actions alone, without reward information. Its latent dynamics reproduce the true system over long prediction horizons using at least one order of magnitude fewer parameters than DreamerV3, TD-MPC2 and LeWM. The authors report state-of-the-art control of continuous environments from pixels and accurate system identification across a benchmark of 71 attractors.

The transcribe pipeline combines gpt-transcribe, Azure AI Speech and optional ElevenLabs Scribe, resolves disagreements with an LLM vote, and uses an LLM editor for corrections. A small public benchmark reports 5.3% word error rate and $0.023–0.025 per audio minute.
