Latent Space podcast write-up of an AI Engineer New York interview with Aman Singh, lead AI Engineer at Arca, an AI-native wealth management firm. Arca runs agent tasks lasting up to ten days, uses a per-client memory system, and owns its harness, which routes tasks to models (mainly Claude) by internal benchmarks. Safety rules are deterministic, trading stays with human advisors, and a meta-agent uses advisor feedback and traces to improve the harness.

Decrypt reports on the October 2026 Binance hot-wallet hack, about $6.3 billion, which Binance CEO Richard Teng says the company will cover with over $6.34 billion of its own funds. Teng says the attacker used an EIP-7702 delegation that skipped Binance's approval controls, a self-destruct mechanism to wipe tooling, and more than one breach point beyond a compromised laptop. TRM Labs and Chainalysis attribute the theft to TraderTraitor, and the attacker is still moving funds on Tron.

Trezor warns of a suspected crypto-theft implant in a Trezor Safe 5 sold by reseller CryptoBilis in Southeast Asia. An Indonesian buyer found an extra board with a cellular module and antenna between the main board and screen, apparently able to read the recovery phrase and send it over mobile networks. Trezor has not examined the device, advises moving funds to a new wallet for any CryptoBilis purchase since March 2026, and notes a similar Ledger implant was confirmed.

Trezor says a user reported a Safe 5 wallet bought from Malaysian reseller CryptoBilis in August 2026 with a hidden board between the main board and screen, carrying a cellular module and antenna. The implant allegedly reads the screen, including the wallet backup, and sends it over a mobile network when plugged in. Trezor has not yet examined the device, has dropped CryptoBilis (9 October), and is replacing wallets bought since March 2026.

OpenAI announces a Community Safety Report on violence prevention, with the first edition due early 2027 covering the second half of 2026 and updates every six months. ChatGPT will also give less detail on past mass attacks, respond more conservatively after warning signs, and end chats that fixate on violence. Teen accounts get tighter weapons limits, backed by age prediction, Persona verification and parental alerts.

The SAIL Framework from Pillar Security is a seven-phase, lifecycle-oriented method for securing AI systems. The phases are AI policy and safe experimentation, AI asset discovery, AI security posture management, AI red teaming, runtime guardrails, sandboxed execution for agents and MCP servers, and AI activity tracing. It argues for a "Shift Up" approach that protects the business logic AI controls, and it is meant to sit on top of existing standards.
Oversecured explains taint analysis for Android and iOS apps and contrasts it with pattern-matching SAST such as MobSF. It covers source, flow and sink, cross-component tracking over Intents, flag-based sanitizer modeling and implicit intent simulation. The case study is an unsafe Class.forName().newInstance() on a Serializable transportFactoryClassName field in Google's com.google.auth.oauth2 credential classes, which Google fixed with a $3,133.70 bounty.
AIBOM explainer from Endor Labs: an AI bill of materials is a machine-readable inventory of models, datasets, dependencies, AI services, agents and MCP servers, with origin, license and integrity evidence. It walks through a CycloneDX entry for a fine-tuned model, compares CycloneDX ML-BOM, SPDX 3.x, the OWASP AIBOM Generator and the May 2026 CISA/G7 minimum-elements guidance, and lists a six-step build process. It also states what an AIBOM cannot show: model safety, runtime behavior and coding-agent actions.

Tailworm is a set of 11 findings, published by Cyberdione Labs before patches, in Tailscale client 1.104.2 and headscale 0.29.5. Four of six high-severity bugs affect Tailscale SSH, where root-privileged forwarding safeguards can be bypassed, giving root on reachable servers and wormable spread at under a second per hop. Tailscale advises reviewing SSH policies and disabling forwarding until a patched client ships. No in-the-wild exploitation is reported.

Keystone, a hardware-wallet maker, disclosed on 24 October 2026 that customer order data was stolen from its Shopify-backed store. Names, contact details, delivery addresses and purchase records were exposed, but not payment data, recovery phrases or keys. The article covers the support-impersonation and physical-safety risks, a retention-policy inconsistency, and similar leaks at Trezor (80,689 customers) and SafePal (about 39,798). Keystone has not given the number affected or the vulnerability.
Clean-label poisoning attack on federated learning for Basic Safety Message anomaly detection in vehicular networks, from Sagduyu, Erpek, Stephenson and Xue (paper submitted 23 October 2026). The attack perturbs benign samples toward malicious feature extremes without changing labels, which lowers class separability, and it grows stronger with more compromised nodes. A feature-consistency relabeling defense keeps attack success low without hurting clean accuracy, and a game-theoretic model shifts equilibria against attacking.

Prince of Persia (Infy), an Iranian state-sponsored APT active for nearly 20 years, hosted a Tornado second-stage C&C server in the US in July 2026, the first US hosting since 2016, according to Semperis researcher Tomer Bar. The server sat on Namecheap shared hosting; on 24 August the group began a replacement behind Cloudflare. Semperis shared IoCs and advises watching for suspicious Telegram traffic.
