Social post summarizing Volexity's research on an Ivanti Connect Secure (ICS) zero-day chain, CVE-2026-104935. The chain pairs an auth bypass and a race-condition RCE with a separate privilege-escalation bug for root. Actor UTA0576 used it from Oct 3, 2026 against a fully patched 22.8R2.4 appliance, leaving no backdoor or web shell and deleting log entries. Post-exploitation included LDAP/AD credential theft, LAPS and BitLocker key searches, password spraying and packet capture. CISA added it to KEV with a due date of Oct 16. A clean Integrity Checker result does not rule out compromise because the chain patches code in memory only, so memory and network forensics are needed. The hunting lead is heavy requests to /dana-na/auth/url_default/welcome.cgi with a mismatched X-DSCGI-PATH header.

It was exploited as a zero-day against a limited number of customers, added to CISA KEV on disclosure day, and Volexity observed it chained with a still-unpatched privilege escalation flaw. Part of the fix shipped in 25.1.3.0 in July 2026, with backports to other supported versions pending. It details five configuration sections — structural verification of findings, an evidence-based confidence formula (weighting confirmed taint flow at 0.30), infrastructure-aware severity multipliers for controls like AWS WAF and IAM, CISA KEV/EPSS threat-intel boosting, and a four-tier priority classification — and reports validation numbers (e.g., unsteered models fabricated code paths in ~30% of findings; steered confidence of HIGH without structural confirmation was only 34% exploitable vs 89% with confirmed taint). The steering file is shipped as a Kiro steering file, a Kiro skill, and a CLAUDE.md for Claude Code, with full source in a linked GitHub repo.

It walks through five configuration sections: requiring structural/dataflow verification before reporting findings, replacing self-reported confidence with a weighted formula based on binary structural signals (e.g., 0.30 weight for confirmed taint flow), mapping infrastructure controls (AWS WAF, IAM) to severity multipliers with a 0.15 floor, incorporating CISA KEV and EPSS threat-intelligence boosts capped at +0.50, and a four-tier priority classification that suppresses low-confidence P3 findings. Validation against a 10-vulnerability test app showed the steered model eliminated fabricated findings and correctly downgraded mitigated vulnerabilities while preserving full severity for a command injection reachable only via authenticated access.

LiteLLM Flaw CVE-2026-42271 Exploited in the Wild, Chains to Unauthenticated RCECISA added CVE-2026-42271, a command injection flaw in BerriAI's LiteLLM AI gateway, to its KEV catalog after confirming active exploitation; the bug lets any authenticated proxy user run arbitrary commands via the MCP server test endpoints (/mcp-rest/test/connection and /mcp-rest/test/tools/list), which spawned attacker-supplied stdio subprocess configs. Horizon3.ai separately showed the flaw can be chained with CVE-2026-48710, a Starlette "BadHost" header validation bypass, to skip authentication entirely and achieve unauthenticated RCE (combined CVSS 10.0), exposing model provider credentials and enabling lateral movement into AI infrastructure. Fixed in LiteLLM 1.83.7 (test endpoints now require PROXY_ADMIN role) and Starlette 1.0.1; the article also notes a prior LiteLLM SQLi (CVE-2026-42208) exploited within 36 hours of disclosure.
thehackernews.comarticleAdded 26 Sep 2026🛡️ Security- CISA Adds Seven Known Exploited Vulnerabilities to Catalog | CISA
CISA added seven vulnerabilities to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog on the basis of active exploitation. They are SQL injection in Sangoma Switchvox, HTTP request/response smuggling in Kludex Starlette, OS command injection in Kestra OSS, improper authentication in BerriAI LiteLLM and JFrog Artifactory, and SSRF plus OS command injection in SonicWall SMA1000 appliances. The alert restates BOD 26-04, which makes federal agencies prioritise rapid remediation of KEV CVEs on publicly exposed assets that grant total control after exploitation. It also requires agencies to check for prior compromise before patching.

CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog is the authoritative list of CVEs with confirmed in-the-wild exploitation. It shows 1739 entries, each with vendor, product, description, CWE, ransomware-use flag, date added, due date, and a new BOD 26-04 forensic-triage flag. The latest entries cover Citrix NetScaler, Zammad (chained session fixation and root privilege escalation), Fortinet FortiMail, Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager, WordPress Core, SharePoint, MikroTik RouterOS, Adobe Commerce, WSO2 and Check Point, plus old CVEs such as ProFTPD CVE-2015-3306 and Struts CVE-2016-3081. Feeds are available as CSV and JSON for vulnerability-management prioritisation.

TrackEverything: Long Horizon Dense Tracking via De-Duplicating 3D Scene RepresentationsTrackEverything is a 3D point tracker that represents videos as persistent 3D scene tracks in world coordinates, decoupling model complexity from video duration by scaling with scene geometry rather than frame count. It introduces voxelization-based de-duplication to merge co-located tracks across sliding-window boundaries, an endpoint refiner plus lightweight trajectory refiner that only decodes dense trajectories for dynamic points, and 3D WAFT, which replaces memory-heavy 4D correlation volumes with feature sampling in the scene cloud. On TAPVid-3D it beats open-source dense 3D trackers by over 20% APD on short clips and is the first 3D tracker able to track all visible points across 1000+ frame videos within 40GB GPU memory.

When Business Email Compromise Starts Rewriting RealityRapid7 previews collaborative research with Zimbra that uncovered over 50 vulnerabilities in the Zimbra Collaboration Suite, several of which let attackers impersonate senders without credentials, control inbox visibility, and alter shared documents and calendars, turning classic Business Email Compromise into active manufactured-reality attacks rather than passive mailbox monitoring. It traces the pattern through real exploited Zimbra CVEs in CISA's KEV catalog (CVE-2024-45519 postjournal command injection, CVE-2025-27915 stored XSS via calendar invite used against Brazilian military targets, CVE-2026-73570 SNMP command injection) and earlier 2022 to 2023 zero-days (CVE-2022-27925, CVE-2022-37042 path traversal plus auth bypass, CVE-2023-37580) exploited by multiple threat groups per Google's Threat Analysis Group.

CVE-2026-94127: Critical Unauthenticated RCE in F5 BIG-IP APMRapid7's ETR writeup covers CVE-2026-94127, a critical heap-based buffer overflow (CVSS 9.8) in F5 BIG-IP Access Policy Manager that allows unauthenticated remote code execution via crafted traffic. Exploitation requires a virtual server with both an APM access policy and an OAuth profile configured, affects the data plane (including Appliance mode), and has been added to CISA KEV; F5 provides hotfixes for the 21.1.0, 17.5.0, and 17.1.0 release trains plus an iRule workaround for those unable to patch immediately.

Cisco Warns of New Zero-Day ISE Auth Bypass (CVSS 10.0) Exploited in Active AttacksCisco disclosed CVE-2026-76460 (CVSS 10.0), an unauthenticated API authentication bypass in Identity Services Engine (ISE) and ISE-PIC that is under active exploitation and has been added to CISA's KEV catalog with a federal patch deadline of September 19, 2026; successful exploitation can yield root command execution, and Cisco provides log-based IOC detection guidance since there is no workaround. The same disclosure batch includes 77 new CVEs, 41 in ISE and 28 in Secure Firewall (ASA/FTD/FMC), covering authenticated RCE, SQL injection, XXE, command injection, and additional REST API auth bypasses, plus a separately exploited Secure Email Gateway flaw (CVE-2026-76461, CVSS 9.8).
thehackernews.comadvisoryAdded 22 Sep 2026🛡️ Security- Jev introduces a new shape of LLM - System One, aka Decision Models
Simon Willison reviews Jev, a new class of model from TypeSafe AI dubbed "System One models" (or "decision models"): instead of generating text, it takes a text/structured "state" plus one or more yes/no ("Noul"), multiple-choice, or scored-range questions and returns floating point probabilities/confidence scores, priced at $0.042/million input tokens with free output. The post covers real use cases (classification, spam detection, search reranking over BM25 candidates), community experiments (jevchat, jev-leftpad, jev-2048), open-weight recreations built on Qwen 3.5 (the Kev models and JevBench benchmark), and raises concerns about the model's black-box nature and bias risk, plus Willison's own llm-typesafe plugin for the LLM CLI tool.

An extensive, actively maintained GitHub "awesome list" cataloging the ecosystem that has grown around TypeSafe's Jev and its "System One" typed decision models — a non-generative alternative to chat LLMs that returns calibrated probabilities per option (Choice/Score/Noul primitives) via RLCD training and single-pass constrained decoding. It indexes dozens of open-weight reproductions (OneJev, Rizzo Flow, Laya, Jebadiah, kev), benchmarks and leaderboards (JevBench, Jev Decision Index, JevAdvBench, DecisionBench), downstream tools (browser/robot/trading agents built on the typed API), and the research lineage the design draws on (zero-shot entailment classifiers, InstructGPT's reward model, GLiNER/GLiClass, monoBERT, LLaDA, vLLM, DSPy, RouteLLM, Constitutional Classifiers). It also links commentary auditing TypeSafe's claims (accuracy vs. frontier LLM baselines, security issues found in community tools).
