SentryBench: A Cost-Sensitive Benchmark for Adversarial Robustness of Tool-Using LLM Agents in Public-Safety DeploymentsSentryBench is a benchmark for tool-using LLM agents in public-safety settings (public alerts, responder dispatch, citizen-record queries). It scores attack success, over-refusal and over-reaction on a cost-sensitive frontier, using real emergency-call transcripts and real injection/jailbreak payloads. Across 840 episodes on three frontier models and three defenses, refuse-more caution raised over-refusal to 100 percent on two models, while a trust-gating wrapper gave the lowest harm on every model.

Decision Attacks on Known-Covariance Ring-LWE via Public Gram DeterminantsAnis Bkakria's ePrint 2026/2638 gives polynomial-time decision attacks on Known-Covariance Ring-LWE (KCov-RLWE), the assumption Micciancio and Suhl introduced for simulation-secure threshold encryption. The public sample and covariance hint form a bordered Gram matrix whose determinant leaks a residual that differs between real and uniform samples. The attacks cover broad prime-modulus families at ring rank one and transfer to composite moduli with an odd prime divisor. Power-of-two moduli are not covered, and the paper does not break the full threshold-encryption scheme.

claude-skills is an MIT-licensed library of about 398 Claude Code skills, agents, personas and plugins across 20 domains, including engineering, marketing, compliance and C-level advisory. Each skill is a SKILL.md with stdlib-only Python CLI tools and reference docs. Install scripts and convert.sh adapt it to Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor, Aider, Windsurf and other coding agents, and it includes a skill-security-auditor scanner.

claude-skills is an open-source MIT library of about 398 Claude Code skills, agents and plugins that also installs into Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and 9 other coding agents. The security-relevant parts are skill-security-auditor, a stdlib-only Python scanner that checks skills for command injection, data exfiltration, prompt injection and dependency supply-chain risks before install, plus a security-guidance PreToolUse hook, a security suite and compliance skills (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).

Podcast: Kimi K3.1 Pro, the new cyber reality, and Muse musingsInterconnects podcast episode in which Nathan Lambert and Florian Brand discuss the Kimi K3.1 Pro release (about 3 trillion parameters, weights due by November 4th). They cover its Artificial Analysis score against weaker long-horizon results, Moonshot's choice to down-weight offensive cyber capability, and the PHP2Shell and LiteLLM incidents. They also cover abliterated model APIs, trusted-access cyber programs, Anthropic's junior hiring and Florian's use of the Muse agent.

Ranking Is Not Deciding: Benchmark Shortcuts and Operating-Point Collapse in Query-Time RAG Poisoning DefensesRanking Is Not Deciding is an October 2026 arXiv paper showing that query-time RAG poisoning filters score near-perfectly because of how the poison set was built. PoisonedRAG's code prepends the target question to each passage. Removing that prefix takes RAGuard from AUROC 0.953 to 0.758 and its miss rate from 0.191 to 0.763. The authors release a script that profiles a poison set.

Task Format as a Factor in Adaptation: A Controlled Comparison of LoRA and Full Fine-Tuning for Prompt-Safety ClassificationThis paper compares LoRA and full fine-tuning for prompt-safety classification using a matched 400M encoder-decoder pair (Ettin) across three task formats, with up to 15 seeds per cell and pre-specified analyses. Full fine-tuning leads LoRA by 2-3 pp at the pre-specified learning rates, and the encoder gap closes when both use the same learning-rate search. Training LoRA to write a reason after its verdict adds 4.0 pp, while a content-free sentence of equal length does not. Trained models beat a prompted 8B in domain but trail it by 8-23 pp on adversarial jailbreaks and over-flag benign prompts (27-66% against 2-3%).

Unlocking the Specialization Capability of PPG Foundation Models for Wearable Signals through Structured Pruning and Adaptive Fine-TuningSPAFT is a structured prune-then-finetune framework for PPG (photoplethysmography) foundation models used on wearable signals. It finds that pretrained PPG models have inherent sparsity and redundancy, then restricts fine-tuning to a compact parameter subspace chosen by parameter importance and structural redundancy. Across four PPG foundation models, five datasets and ten tasks, it wins 82.8% of regression and 87.5% of classification comparisons.
