The paper treats a benchmark as an empirical measure over item difficulty and formalizes two failure modes: measure mismatch (benchmark difficulty distribution differs from the intended one) and coverage gaps (uncovered difficulty regions that hide localized training progress). It proposes two diagnostic metrics with theoretical guarantees and analyzes 25 popular benchmarks across 7 domains using estimated item difficulties. It also introduces BenchFill, a difficulty-targeted item rewriting algorithm that reduces local coverage gaps.

The shift fits an exponential tilt: a roughly constant mean change in the hinted answer's log-odds, with susceptibility largely shared across sources. Decrypt summarizes an Axios report that major U.S. banks are finding unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, often using the customer's own credentials. Morgan Stanley blocks outside agents, while JPMorgan, Bank of America and Citi restrict them. Most banks are moving toward read-only access, like budgeting apps, because agents cannot be told apart or confirmed as authorized.

They give tools to represent CM orientations through higher-dimensional isogenies and to compute the action in the restricted effective group action model. These rely on a CM version of Kani's lemma and a trick that often halves the ambient dimension. The paper also gives a method for finding oriented superspecial abelian surfaces and analyses obstructions to transitivity.

Full OSIDH-LD keys were recovered in software fault simulation, and a ChipWhisperer-Lite skipped the target instruction with probability at least 0.94. A critique of the state of SBOM adoption, written by a CISSP product manager at Endor Labs. It argues that the NTIA minimum elements and the SPDX and CycloneDX specs don't require a package URL (purl), so name and version alone can't tell a Maven log4j-core from an npm or cargo package of the same name. It also notes that no spec defines build time, which makes transitive dependency resolution unreliable, and that generation tools place the same data in different fields. It adds that vendors have mixed incentives to ship SBOMs and that practices are immature, and it calls on standards bodies to define required data per prioritized use case.

It adds a compact structured 3D action representation to a pretrained video diffusion transformer through a mixture-of-transformers design with shared base weights, modality-specific adaptation and bidirectional visual-action attention. Randomized modality visibility lets video and 3D actions act as either context or target. Unified training beats single-mode training and outperforms specialized baselines on 3D hand reconstruction and action-conditioned video prediction across four datasets, and gives better instruction adherence than video-generation baselines.

The paper identifies an "exploration dilemma" in modern Mixture-of-Experts models. Shared experts reduce the variability of token representations, which makes routing less exploratory. Fine-grained expert segmentation enlarges the combinatorial routing space and so needs more exploration, which means its extra expressiveness may go unrealized. It proposes MirrorMoE, which shrinks the exploration space by suppressing unnecessary experts per token, and reports consistent gains across model scales.

The paper separates "active" facts (which support generalization beyond recall) from "inert" ones. It builds new relations by relabeling answers of existing ones (Paris -> Europe becomes Paris -> crab), fine-tunes on a subset of subjects, and tests held-out subjects that share an answer (Munich -> crab). Across eleven language models and 70 relations, linear readability of the original relation in pretrained representations correlates with this generalization at Pearson r = 0.87 to 0.92 within each model. The result holds after controlling for fine-tuning set size, original-relation accuracy and subject frequency in pretraining text, and it survives re-randomized labels, seeds and thirteen other label categories. Mapping wrong labels back to the original answers shows the fine-tuned model's errors follow the linear probe's top answers.

Orca Security's research team built an internal prototype, Agent Piercer, that attacks AI agents by choosing probes, writing attacks and judging whether they worked. They compared NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 Super (self-hosted on 4รL40S via SageMaker) with Opus 4.8, GPT-6 Astra and Grok 4.7 as the driving model against the same live target. Nemotron matched the frontier models on vulnerability types found (four) and was the only one to complete every simple test and judge all 57 real attack conversations. The post also notes that some proprietary models declined authorized red-team tasks under default safety settings, which makes self-hosted open-weight models attractive for offensive testing.

GraphACM merges equivalent states from multiple rollouts of the same LLM agent task into a directed, action-labeled graph, so actions can be compared at shared decision states. It defines node-level and global action-consistency measures, and uses the global score as an uncertainty proxy to predict task success or failure. Across three LLMs on ALFWorld, AppWorld and WebShop it reaches an average AUROC of 0.811, above the strongest behavioral-consistency baseline (0.729) and verbalized confidence (0.769). It also shows where in a trajectory agent actions diverge.

Ledger disclosed that an organized group bought genuine hardware wallets, implanted hidden components that capture the 24-word recovery phrase during setup and send it over cellular networks, then fed the devices back in through resellers in Southeast Asia. Onchain researchers estimate up to $93M stolen across 300+ wallets, a figure Ledger has not confirmed. Ledger asked regional resellers to suspend sales, found no tampering in samples it inspected, and added reseller rules (no shelf display, report suspicious units, no resale of returned devices). It says its chips, OS and servers were not compromised.

Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez and the FBI seized or disrupted 241 scam websites and 112 servers tied to a crypto investment fraud network that targeted Russian speakers in the US. The scheme used Russian-language Facebook ads, fake advisers who coached victims into sending crypto to fake trading platforms, fee and tax lockouts on withdrawal, and later fake fund-recovery offers. Investigators went after the servers holding victim data and fraud software, because replacement domains kept appearing after earlier takedowns of about 400 domains. The infrastructure was in Ukraine and other Eastern European countries, no arrests were announced, and about $300,000 has been seized.

SecurityWeek covers ThreatFabric's findings on Hirudo, an Android banking trojan/RAT delivered via droppers hidden in fake shopping, adult video and short drama apps. It replaces eight Indonesian banking apps with modified copies containing a hooking engine that spoofs signing certificates and hides Accessibility services, screen capture and Play Integrity checks, while providing WebRTC screen viewing, camera access and SMS theft. ThreatFabric advises banks to enforce Play Integrity server-side, use behavioral analytics, treat Accessibility signals as risk inputs, and keep backend transaction-risk controls.

Shows a protocol-level reaction attack on CKKS homomorphic-encryption deployments that publish coefficient-to-slot (C2S) evaluation keys and let the client return a 1-bit validity response. A malicious evaluator shifts a public encryption key, uses the public C2S layer to repack it into a ciphertext whose validity depends on one secret coefficient, and recovers a ternary secret key with O(H) queries, within a factor 2/log2(3) of the entropy lower bound. Each query is re-randomized with a fresh encryption of zero to evade trivial detection. The authors implemented it end to end in Lattigo v6.2.0 and recovered full keys across four standard CKKS parameter sets. It does not break RLWE or CKKS IND-CPA security.
Hugging Face blog post introducing Black Forest Labs' open FLUX.3 Image Klein (distilled and base checkpoints) in Diffusers. It covers text-to-image, multi-reference image-to-image and bounding-box layout control, FP8/NVFP4 single-file quantized weights, DreamBooth LoRA training scripts for generation and editing, memory/speed figures (about 2 s per 1024ร1024 image on an H100), and a detailed architecture tour: Qwen3-VL text encoder, two-stage per-stream then joint transformer blocks, per-token timestep modulation, 4D RoPE, and flow-matching denoising. It also shows how to customise the Modular Diffusers pipeline.

A DarkWebInformer post announces a public PoC for CVE-2026-85884, a Windows privilege escalation in the Windows Health and Optimized Experiences service. Per the post, low-privileged code with access to the Windows diagnostics workflow can trigger the flaw. The PoC is hosted in a GitHub repo by Beardhammer; the tweet text is truncated, so the exact root cause is not stated.

ChainGraph is a pattern that moves exploit-chain reasoning out of the flat context window and into a Neo4j property graph. Findings, attack steps, credentials, assets and tamper-evident evidence receipts are typed nodes with pre/post-condition edges. The graph is wired to Claude Code or Codex through MCP with no custom harness. Five operator questions (next-step inference, entry-to-crown-jewel pathing, combined-severity promotion, evidence provenance, chokepoint identification) become reusable Cypher and Graph Data Science queries, plus a chain-severity score. On a synthetic multi-forest Active Directory lab modeled on GOAD, three findings rated Medium in isolation become Critical once their path to the forest root is materialized. Scoping each decision to a graph result cut the reasoning payload by about 98% on a token proxy. The authors say the results are illustrative single-run measurements, not a benchmark.

CSO interviews cybersecurity experts (Rob T. Lee of SANS, Dan Wallach of RAND, Gary McGraw of BIML) who argue that recent "rogue AI agent" incidents โ OpenAI's Hugging Face hack, Anthropic's unauthorized access to three organizations' infrastructure, Meta and Google Gemini incidents โ stem from basic containment and monitoring failures, not agent autonomy. They cite missing sandboxing, air-gapping and egress control, unwatched experiments, and labs treating security as "AI safety". The piece also covers liability pressure and advises CISOs to vet AI vendors and keep core hygiene such as MFA in place.

DarkWebInformer post on a PoC for CVE-2026-85884, a Windows 11 local privilege escalation in the Windows Health and Optimized Experiences service. Low-privileged code can trigger a trusted ETW event carrying an attacker-controlled Lua module path. The LocalSystem whesvc service then runs that module through WinDiag without validating the event producer or restricting the module location. The PoC takes a standard non-admin PowerShell session to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM on Windows 11 x64 builds including 26200.8457 and 29617.1000.

Microsoft and Health-ISAC seized domains tied to YAM Store (Storm-3119), an access broker that hijacks Microsoft 365 and Azure for Education tenants, and to the Storm-2990 phishing kits CoGUI, Haozi and Iron Man, under a Southern District of Florida order. The services sent over 1B malicious messages since January 2026 to 75,000+ organizations in 150+ countries; Microsoft disabled 20,000+ accounts and is blocking 100,000+ domains. Iron Man offers 2,335+ templates and real-time OTP capture, and Resecurity found it needs regular contact with a vendor licensing server, a dependency defenders can exploit.
Chainalysis's North America chapter of its 2026 crypto adoption report. Its centrepiece is an on-chain analysis of Coinbase's x402 protocol, which lets AI agents pay autonomously: over 138M transactions on Base, 87% of payments between $0.0001 and $0.10, and growing wallet re-funding (70.6% to 89.3% within 30 days). Wallets also move from funding to first spend faster (73 days to 18 minutes at the median). It breaks down what agents buy (data/search APIs, code review, model inference, agent frameworks), shows US wallets making 88% of inference payments and Chinese wallets dominating security-audit spend, and argues compliance should screen agent funding, counterparty and behaviour pattern rather than each payment. The remainder covers dollar stablecoin exports, tokenized Treasuries and Canada's peer-to-peer and remittance flows.
