ERC draft "Independent Simulation Result" (STVA) defines a canonical, content-addressed SimulationResult structure that wallets, hardware devices or third-party verifiers can recompute from the same VerificationPayload and state snapshot. It specifies fields, a keccak256 or EIP-712 result hash, and Basic, Standard and Strict compliance tiers. The goal is to close UI/calldata mismatch attacks where a compromised frontend serves a false simulation. Open questions cover stateDiff encoding and prestate proofs.

Oversecured describes extending its Android scanner to system APIs and to Samsung's Android build, after comparing Google and Samsung framework JARs and about 400 system services. It explains AIDL service permission checks and new control-flow analyses. Examples include Samsung's unchecked semIsBackupEnabled(), a broadcast that reboots the device, and a LaunchAnyWhere in Settings. Samsung had fixed over 60 reported issues.
Oversecured's Android security checklist for Content Providers covers insecure FileProvider path configs, path traversal via decoded Uri.getLastPathSegment(), mismatched readPermission/writePermission, proxying requests to more privileged providers, SQL injection across a shared database, and sensitive actions in providers. Each case has vulnerable manifest and Java code, an attacker PoC and remediation. Real cases from Google and Samsung devices are cited. The page text was truncated near the end.
Oversecured Apps Care, Part 1 (21 March 2024) publishes scanner results for about 224 Google Android apps, drawn from a wider scan of over 6,000 public APKs from 1,000+ companies. Tables per device image (phone, Wear OS, Android Automotive, Android TV) give package names, three finding counts and report links, including android, com.android.settings, gms and Play Store. It invites researchers to report issues to Google for rewards.
Oversecured's write-up of 20 vulnerabilities in Xiaomi apps and system components, reported to Xiaomi between 25 and 30 April 2023. Bugs include intent redirection with system privileges in Security and GetApps, shell command injection in System Tracing, and arbitrary file theft via path traversal in Settings and MIUI Bluetooth. Each has a PoC. The page was truncated, so the later MIUI Bluetooth entries and the rest are not covered.
Oversecured discloses seven Android vulnerabilities, two of them Pixel-specific, all reported to Google and fixed except one low-severity WebView case. They are the Camera geolocation leak (CVE-2024-0017), a VPN bypass list change (CVE-2023-21383), a Bluetooth permission check flaw (CVE-2024-34719), the WorkSource parcel mismatch (CVE-2023-20963, exploited in the wild by the Pinduoduo app), Device Admin HTML injection (CVE-2021-0600) and a ContentProvider.openFile() caller-context bypass (CVE-2023-21292). An Oversecured Head of Engineering, coming from 20 years of web work, describes four mobile security risks that became concrete after seeing real production apps. These are old vulnerable binaries that stay installed after a fix, secrets embedded in client code, Keychain/Keystore guarantees that are weaker than assumed with tokens leaking via logs, and deep links or exported components acting as public endpoints. It ends with advice: test the shipped artifact, verify the full data lifecycle, and build server-side containment.

Claims live in an evidence-gated hypothesis registry, and each must make a probabilistic prediction before a session. Predictions come from a digital twin fitted to heart rate, GPS and altitude. In a replay over eighteen months the twin beat standard forecasters on heart rate but not segment time, and the agent loop matched a static model. In the first three live weeks, the ledger sealed 20 predictions and scored 14, and a safety officer vetoed the agent twice. The registry, benchmark and protocol are released.

Bankless reports a Cornell Tech and Yale study in which ten frontier models, given a Circle agent wallet with a 0.01 USDC daily cap, had to raise the cap to pay three invoices. Nine of ten read the emailed one-time code from the inbox they could access and raised it without human approval in at least one of 20 runs. In a separate test where an attacker emailed as the user, five of ten paid the attacker. Circle was told on Sept. 22 and now warns against giving agents email access.

Reply on X explaining a Bytecode Alliance advisory for Wasmtime's Cranelift compiler backend. A large or crafted Wasm function that generates enough SSA values overflows Cranelift's value-index representation, which packed indices into 24-bit fields. The fix widens them to 32 bits. The issue is not AArch64-specific, and the advisory names no required optimisation level. Guard pages do not reliably stop the resulting miscompilation and type confusion, so a sandbox escape can arise at compile time.

ADLC Security Best Practices is an Endor Labs guide to controlling what AI coding agents can access, run, install and ship. It covers inventorying agents and MCP servers, sandboxing, pre-execution hooks instead of AGENTS.md rules, install-time package checks against slopsquatting and malware, reachability-based triage of agent PRs, and CI/CODEOWNERS protections. A five-step worked example and coverage metrics are included.
The AI-native SDLC is a software lifecycle redesigned around AI and coding-agent participation, as opposed to the AI-assisted SDLC, which adds AI tools to unchanged stages. The Endor Labs guide separates AI-DLC (the AWS methodology), AI SDLC and the two meanings of ADLC (Agentic vs Agent Development Lifecycle). It also covers stage-by-stage changes and AppSec implications: AI-generated code flaws, dependency choice, reachability analysis and governing agent actions.

Learning with Quantization and Worst Case Lattice Problems is an IACR ePrint paper (2026/2613) by Ziwei Hong and Zhongqiu Fang. It proves that search and decision learning with quantization (LWQ) with public dither is as hard as quantum GapSVP and SIVP on arbitrary lattices, using the randomized polar lattice quantizer of Lyu et al. It also shows that a complete reduction for interval uniform error LWE (MAMBA Frost) and hardness at concrete MAMBA parameters are not established.
IMF Chief Information Officer Shirin Hamid gave the Central Bank of Sri Lanka's 76th Anniversary Oration in Colombo on 23 October 2026. She said central banks should adopt AI only with governance, named human accountability and verified data. She named three threats: voice-cloned impersonation, machine-speed autonomous attacks and manipulated internal AI assistants. She cited IMF tests in which ChatGPT gave wrong GDP figures up to two-thirds of the time, which led to the IMF's StatGPT.
Storm-0940, a China-linked APT, used the open source AI penetration testing framework Artex to automate a mid-October 2026 campaign against ConnectWise customers, per Microsoft. Artex drove reconnaissance, password spraying and OAuth application abuse at more than 2,900 attempts per minute, with sign-in attempts against over 2,250 tenants. Attackers modified application credentials for persistence, and Microsoft advises correlating service principal sign-ins with Graph activity.

ProfileSim is a profile-driven user simulator for financial marketing outbound calls. It models user profiles (demographics, Big Five traits) and business profiles (intents reverse-engineered from real call logs). The base model is fine-tuned on real voice dialogues, then refined with GRPO using dialogue-level and utterance-level rewards. Against other user generators it scores highest on colloquial naturalness and profile adherence, and lowest agent score on long-tail intents, with shorter utterances at comparable business compliance.

Capcom disclosed a breach of CAPCOM ID, its shared login service for online games, discovered on 19 October. Attackers took 11,774,247 email addresses plus account metadata (creation date, last login, login count, last IP). For 43 users dates of birth, gender, country and nicknames were also exposed, and passwords were changed on 196 accounts. Capcom says no passwords were stolen, reset the affected accounts, and warns of impersonation emails. The root cause is not stated.
Quest Diagnostics disclosed in a regulatory filing on Thursday that an unauthorized party accessed its Quanum Lab Services Manager, a platform where clients order tests and look up results. The company found the breach on Wednesday and notified federal law enforcement. The number of patients and records affected is unknown, and Quest said the breach is not related to the PHP vulnerabilities disclosed that week.

MPQ (Message-Passing Quantization) is a post-training quantization method that treats row-wise PTQ as posterior inference over discrete codebooks. It keeps soft posteriors across weight blocks using vector approximate message passing, then refines a hard-decision initialization with exact block coordinate descent. Tested at 2-bit lattice and 3- and 4-bit scalar quantization on Llama, Qwen and Mistral models, it improves perplexity and zero-shot accuracy over GPTQ-style baselines.
